Cutting Force and Surface Roughness during Straight-Tooth Milling of Walnut Wood

Walnut (Juglans regia L.) is widely used in wood furnishings, and machinability a key factor for improving product quality enterprise benefits. This work focused on the influence of rake angle, depth cut, cutting speed force machined surface roughness during straight-tooth milling walnut. On basis experimental findings, mathematical model was created using response methodology to determine relationship between conditions, as well conditions. Variance analysis study significant contributions interactions various factors two-level roughness. The optimized combination resulting lowest roughness, determined be angle 5°, cut 0.6 mm, 45 m/s.
